John,

Wednesday evening, the U.S. House passed a bill to lift the debt ceiling until 2025, codifying the negotiations between Speaker McCarthy and President Biden.

Lauren Boebert spent the better part of the last two weeks crowing about her fake concern for government spending, demanding steep cuts to programs like veteran's healthcare and SNAP food assistance for the working poor, and promising to do all she could to make sure the U.S. defaulted on its debt obligations.

Last week, she even publicly committed to voting no on the compromise legislation, speaking at a press conference in front of dozens of reporters. So what did Boebert do when it was time to actually vote? When the bill was brought to a final vote for passage she boldly...skipped the vote.

“The Swamp did its old song and dance and pretended to listen to the American people, but as soon as the backroom deal was made, it was predetermined that it would pass,” Boebert said. “I certainly wasn’t afraid to vote against the bill, as I have been advocating against it all week.”

Really? Because not voting at all isn't exactly a strong showing of courage against the bill.

Perhaps she is worried about alienating Independent voters and moderate Republicans in her district who would prefer that their representatives in Congress don't actively plunge the economy into a chaotic recession for no reason.

Boebert should be worried, especially when she makes headlines like this that show how unfit she is to serve in Congress. Help us tell No-Show Boebert that Colorado is sick and tired of her empty theatrics—contribute $15 or more to the Colorado Turnout Project's work to rally persuadable voters against Boebert in 2024:
