Dear John,
Right-wing conspiracy theorist and Fox News host, Maria Bartiromo, sits on NYU’s Board of Trustees—a position of power that demands ethical standards which she is completely lacking.
Bartiromo texted White House chief of staff Mark Meadows questions before her interview with Trump in November 2020.1 She acted as a mouthpiece for Steve Bannon and Rudy Giuliani to popularize conspiracy theories against Democrats and voting integrity.2 And she helped propagandist Sidney Powell spread the false notion that there were "voting irregularities."3
Bartiromo is a threat to democracy and has no place on the NYU board. Sign the petition asking William R. Berkley, chairman of the Board of Trustees for NYU, to remove her.
Our safety is bound up in each other, and together, we must act to stop our country from edging toward fascism, where lies can be spread to millions of people with no accountability—like when Maria Bartiromo told millions of people the 2020 election was "disgusting" and that the system itself was "corrupted."4
Bartiromo’s actions during and after the 2020 election were so unethical that she is named as a defendant in the voting election technology company Smartmatic's $2.7 billion defamation case against Fox News because she was part of a "conspiracy to spread disinformation."5 Bartiromo was even going to be called as a witness in the defamation case Dominion voting systems brought against Fox News, but it was settled for $787 million right before the trial was set to begin.6
Bartiromo has made a concerted effort to sow hate, division, and distrust in America while boosting her own conservative media profile.
Sign the petition to demand Maria Bartiromo's removal from NYU's Board of Trustees, and then pass it along to your friends and family.

Thanks for all you do.
