Hello John,
?
Together, we have shifted public opinion on the climate and ecological emergency over the last four years. Yet the outlook for the future remains dire.??
?
So how can we best direct our energy to bring about sustained change? If we are to bring about change, we need a movement that is bigger and broader. The new strategy for 2023-24 focuses on this need.
?
Though we are the largest community of civil resistance in the UK, we still need a larger and more diverse movement that brings in the "silent majority". We will do this by:
- Building a Community of Civil Resistance, both locally and nationally, that brings in those who share our goals but have not yet embraced resistance.
- Organising actions that are appealing and inviting to more people by focusing on targeted disruption, not public disruption. This will put the focus squarely on the bad guys and resonate with the public's concerns.
- Enabling local groups to manage and execute their own local actions, on issues that matter to them and their communities.
- Empowering all communities to join and lead the movement. This work continues with our BIPOC-mobilisation project, UNIFY.
Nationwide actions are powerful too. We want to come together again in London - when we are ready, when we have the numbers, and not before.?

Let's bring in others that share our goals and build a powerful, far-reaching community of civil resistance. Let's help people discover that they have a voice and a choice.?
