It’s Mereda, and I wanted to share something my husband Hank just said. He told me that it’s not fair to his supporters that he has to keep asking them to dig deep and make financial contributions. He said, “Democracy should be about action, not money.”

It’s so true. But Republicans have rigged the system, having billionaires finance their political ambitions in return for massive tax cuts for the 1%. It’s all based on money.

That’s not how democracy should work. But here we are. We have to play the game in order to change the game.
