Agencies reach agreement over Jackson Lake Dam

The State of Wyoming and the Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) have reached an agreement on water management operations for the Upper Snake River Basin that will avoid impacts to fisheries below Jackson Lake Dam.

Wyoming?s gray wolf population continues to meet all management goals, according to the?2022 Wyoming Gray Wolf Monitoring and Management annual report?by the Wyoming Game and Fish Department and partnering agencies.?The newly-published document details gray wolf populations and conflict trends that indicate stable and predictable management of the species.

Game and Fish to begin grizzly bear captures for monitoring

As part of ongoing efforts to monitor the population of grizzly bears in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, the Wyoming Game and Fish Department will conduct capture operations in areas of northwest Wyoming beginning this spring and continuing through early fall. The?public is reminded to heed warning signs.

The Wyoming Game and Fish Department extends congratulations to the winners of the Collectible Conservation Stamp Art Show. The 40th annual contest featured the beaver. The winning piece came from Justin Hayward of Casper, Wyoming, and will be featured on the 2024 collectible conservation stamp and limited-edition print.
