New partnerships made during awareness month.

National Human Trafficking Awareness Month

The spotlight shined on sex and labor trafficking in January always makes for an exciting month at Polaris but this year may have topped them all - thanks to many of you. You posted, you pledged, and you made your voices heard. Our partners in the business world also stepped up in ways that truly matter to victims and survivors. Some examples include Wyndham Hotels and Resorts and Choice Hotels donating safe places to stay; ArcBest spreading the world about the U.S. National Human Trafficking Hotline; and Delta and Southwest continuing to make it possible for survivors to soar - literally and figuratively. And many more! We are grateful. We couldn’t do it without all of you

Coming Soon: North Star Guide Campaign!

We’re looking to secure 75 new North Star Guides and need your help!  North Star Guides make monthly gifts to Polaris so that we can reshape the systems that make sex and labor trafficking possible and profitable. Starting February 18, a generous donor will add an additional $200 to the first monthly gift for new North Star Guides, up to a total of $15,000!

Fighting with technology

Migrant workers, particularly those laboring in remote regions far from friends and family, are particularly vulnerable to labor trafficking. Working with technology partner Ulula, Polaris is pioneering ways to reach those workers to learn from them and to give them a safe way to get help.

Bill of Rights

Domestic workers have been left out of virtually every major federal labor protection law. That fact, coupled with isolated, informal working conditions make this workforce very vulnerable to labor trafficking. It is time to give the nannies, house cleaners, and home health aides who help busy families manage their lives the respect and the protection they deserve.
