The city of Nottingham has once again been awarded Purple Flag status, an award that it has held since 2010.
Having Purple Flag status indicates that Nottingham is a great, safe and vibrant place for a night out. It also allows members of the public to quickly identify town and city centres that offer an entertaining, diverse, safe and enjoyable night out, with accreditation being based on a number of core criteria.
Nottingham City Council wins four new school catering contracts in Derby
Nottingham City Council’s school catering service has beaten leading private sector operators to win a tender for four new school catering contracts in Derby, bucking the national trend for school meal provision.
The council served 2.1 million high quality, nutritious meals across 55 primary and secondary schools in Nottingham city last year but from April 2020, it will be adding the four Derby schools to its ever-growing portfolio.
