*Public Works Releases 2022 Annual Report *

?

Skagit County Public Works is eager to share its 2022 Annual Report, which provides an overview of both ongoing and completed work from the year prior. Each year, the Public Works Department compiles a report to highlight the incredible undertaking of its various divisions, including the Administrative Division, Road Operations, Ferry Operations, Engineering, Solid Waste, Equipment, Rental, and Revolving Fund (ER&R), and Natural Resources.

The full 2022 Annual Report can be found here: www.skagitcounty.net/PublicWorks/Documents/2022%20Public%20Works%20Annual%20Report.pdf [ [link removed] ]

Public Works supports and maintains approximately 800 miles of road and accompanying right-of-way, operates the Guemes Island ferry system, the Skagit County Recycling and Transfer Station, and auxiliary stations, and demonstrates ongoing stewardship of Skagit County?s natural resources. The Public Works department is one of the largest departments within Skagit County, responsible for the many services that impact the lives of Skagit County residents every day.

?Thank you to County leadership, the Public Works team, our community partners, and the public,? said Grace Kane, Public Works Director and County Engineer. ?This report is a wonderful reflection of the many things accomplished during 2022. It is an opportunity for all of us to recognize our impact, and to celebrate our many strengths.?

Public Works would also like to acknowledge the agencies and partners that supported the vast number of programs and projects accomplished in 2022. It is because of the partnerships with private organizations, non-profits, and municipal, tribal, and state governments that Skagit County Public Works can achieve both its annual and long-term goals.
