It’s unconscionable that extreme MAGA Republicans have driven our nation to the brink of economic catastrophe while making outrageous demands, including draconian funding cuts for environmental programs, undercutting long-standing environmental laws, and repealing the clean energy tax credits and other vitally important provisions of the Inflation Reduction Act that have already created more than 140,000 jobs and are saving people money. Those lawmakers are the reason we’re in this situation. Here’s the thing: When the “Default on America Act” passed the House, a deal that President Biden and environmental champions in Congress would NEVER support, many right-wing members voted to cut funding that could kill projects in their own districts. They voted wrong on the policy, but they also screwed up politically — and we need your help to make sure they don’t get away with it. We just put serious resources behind ads going after Lauren Boebert, Don Bacon, John James, Marc Molinaro, and Nancy Mace. We need these ads to dominate the airwaves. We need your help to make that happen: Chip in to our Annual Fund campaign before today’s deadline. We know the deal between President Biden and Speaker McCarthy still contains harmful provisions. Why? Because MAGA Republicans brought us to the brink of economic and environmental disaster, and they should be held accountable. Everyone deserves to know when politicians put polluters before people, but they could successfully sweep this under the rug unless we escalate our campaign. When lawmakers do the bidding of Big Oil at the expense of their own constituents, it really matters. But it won’t make a difference if their own constituents never hear about it, Friend.
