Tonight is our end-of-month deadline and I’m going to ask you to chip in to help us raise the final $5,500 we need to reach our goal. I’ll leave a link here, but first let me explain why the past week has been so crazy.

In the past few days a lot has happened. As you know I’ve been working with the White House and Democratic Leadership to negotiate a debt ceiling deal. This included meetings with the Chairman of the Federal Reserve, calls with the White House and even some off the record conversations with Republican colleagues. It hit a boiling point this weekend when I was on MSNBC. That interview has over 150,000 views and counting.

The work we’ve been doing is incredibly important, and I’m cautiously optimistic that we’ll be passing the deal today through the House.

However, because of all of this, I haven’t been able to focus on our campaign’s fundraising and now we’re falling over $5,000 short of our end-of-month goal tonight. This is the worst timing too because I’m still being hit with a five figure attack ad by national Republicans.
