Here’s the reality we’re facing in 2024:

When I was first elected in the blue wave of 2018, I was one of five newly-elected House Democrats in Southern California to win their races. Today, I’m the last remaining of those original five running to defend their seat.

In a competitive district like CA-49, that’s a testament to the strong grassroots support we’ve built over the years. We’ve never taken a race for granted, and YOU have an essential part of our success, John.

Take it from me: There’s nothing Kevin McCarthy wants more than to defeat the last California Democrat remaining from that original 2018 class. That’s a big reason why his attacks are coming earlier and more often than ever. As the only remaining “vulnerable” incumbent in California, the GOP knows they can concentrate all their resources in one place.

Meeting our monthly fundraising targets is the best way to counter the outside super PAC spending we know is coming. But as it stands today, we’re still short of our May goal. Will you chip in $3, or whatever you can, before 11:59 pm to help us close that gap?
