Friend — Robert here. I wanted to reach out to you before our May end-of-month fundraising deadline comes to a close at midnight tonight.

I want to start by thanking everyone who has stepped up to support our campaign thus far. The past few months have assured me that this team will step up to support me when I need it most, and I am very grateful for that.

Since the start of my term in Congress, one of my main priorities has been to fight for accountability of lawmakers — whether that be George Santos’ fraud and deceit, Marjorie Taylor Greene's blatant disrespect of adopted and LGBTQ mothers, or extremist attempts to limit the rights of women in America.

I am proud of what I have accomplished thus far, and I hope you are too. But fighting for accountability has also made me a target of the far-right. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I am the perfect villain for the far-right: I’m gay, I’m an immigrant, I’ve been a leader in fighting the pandemic, and now I am publicly holding lawmakers accountable.

So yes, I am a target and I have no doubt that House Republicans will spare no expense in 2024 to try to unseat me if they get the chance.

But I know with you by my side, we can combat that corporate dark money and the right-wing attacks that could come our way. So I’m asking:

Can you please make a contribution of $3 or whatever you can afford to my campaign for Congress before our end-of-month deadline at midnight? I need your support in order to continue fighting for the accountability of lawmakers.

The months ahead are going to be tough on our campaign financially — the summer is one of the hardest times to raise money. So I am counting on your support. Thank you for listening and for having my back.
