I was elated when I got the news that Eric Sorensen had been elected in Illinois’ 17th District. I had the opportunity to meet with him before his election, and it was immediately clear that he had our constituents' best interests at heart.

Now that he’s in Congress, he’s been a reliable ally in our work to deliver for the people of Illinois – on clean water investments, supporting the renewable energy transition, and so much more.

Now here’s the bad news:

National Republicans are attacking Eric relentlessly, and a new GOP opponent announced a bid to try and flip his seat red. Because Eric was just elected, they see him as a top target to go after in their effort to keep the House in Kevin McCarthy’s control.
