John,
Today is our May fundraising deadline, and in just a moment, I'm going to humbly ask you for a donation to our campaign — but let me explain why your support today is so important:
If you've been following the news in the last few months, you've seen extreme Republicans hold our economy hostage, fight to enact cruel cuts to programs that help our most vulnerable neighbors, protect tax cuts for the rich and powerful at all costs, try to ban abortion nationwide and so much more.
We knew when Republicans took control of Congress that it could get ugly, but we had no idea how much damage they would cause — and it's clear they're just getting started.
We simply can't afford another year — let alone 2, 3 or 4 more — of Republicans turning back the clock on everything we've gained. The stakes in 2024 couldn't be any higher.
If you can, please chip in before our deadline at midnight tonight to help my efforts to retake Democratic control of the House and ensure I can continue standing up for you in Congress.
If you've saved payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
Thank you so much for everything you do. I wouldn't be able to do this without your generous support.
All my best,
Chellie
