Teach-In and Art Action 350BK/People vs. Fossil Fuels

350Brooklyn/People vs. Fossil Fuels will host a Teach-In and Art Action on Thursday, June 8 at 5:30PM on the Brooklyn Borough Hall steps. It will be one of more than 30 nationwide actions of the People vs. Fossil Fuels coalition being held from June 8th–11th.

The event will feature three powerful New York Climate Justice leaders:

  • Raya Salter of the Energy Justice Law and Policy Center and the Climate Action Council
  • Kim Fraczek of SANE Energy, and the No North Brooklyn Pipeline Alliance
  • Annie Carforo of WE ACT for Environmental Justice

Our speakers will discuss the wins, insights and lessons learned from this year’s state legislative session, what we have learned about the impact of gas on the health of our communities and how to stop the expansion of gas infrastructure in our city and state.

After our Teach-In we’ll march (a few blocks) to the National Grid payment office and hold an art-based action outside. Come to get schooled, stay for the art action!
