When the rest of the world lost its corporate marbles, conservatives liked to think that there was one place that would never let them down: Chick-fil-A. As far as they were concerned, the churchgoers' chicken of choice had been solidly built on Truett Cathy's strong family values. While other CEOs took their brands in wildly liberal directions, Christians took solace in the fact that at least one franchise could stand against the mob. Now, with the news that Chick-fil-A is catering to the diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) crowd, customers feel deeply betrayed. But the reality is, the chicken empire's capitulation started years before this. |

A female inmate suffered serious injuries during a beating inside a women's correctional facility after she refused to have sex with a man who identifies as a transgender woman, according to an eyewitness. The witness called the transgender-on-female assault an example of "misogyny within misogyny" from a female prison with a controversial history of housing violent men, including child molesters and one murderer who drank his victim's blood and calls himself "Lucifer's Maiden servant." |

McCarthy, Biden Reach Debt Ceiling Deal; House Freedom Caucus Opposes |

Negotiating teams representing President Biden and House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) reached an agreement early on Memorial Day weekend to suspend the debt ceiling and control spending, detailed in the text of a 99-page bill, the "Fiscal Responsibility Act of 2023," published on Sunday. While the agreement contained some conservative priorities that angered House progressives, members of the House Freedom Caucus complained the eventual product was far short of acceptable and vowed to oppose it. |
