John,

I wanted to make sure you saw my team’s note from earlier today. If Republicans were to get their way, it would be detrimental to our rural and underserved communities.

I’m going to continue supporting our rural and underserved communities because I know they deserve better, but I need your help. My end-of-month deadline is tomorrow night, and I could really use a surge of grassroots support to help me hit my goal so I can stay focused on protecting our communities from Republicans. If you’re able, please make a contribution to my campaign: [link removed]

Thank you,
Congressman Sanford Bishop

John,

Last week, House Republicans on the Subcommittee on Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies passed the Fiscal Year (FY) 2024 Agriculture appropriations bill. To sum it up in a word, it was disappointing

As Ranking Member on the Subcommittee, Congressman Bishop has led the opposition to Republican cuts that would be detrimental to rural communities and low-income families — and he’ll continue doing so as long as he’s in Congress. Now, he needs your help — will you chip in before his end-of-month deadline tomorrow night to support him as he continues fighting to protect our communities and working families from Republicans?

If passed, the House Republicans’ FY 2024 Ag appropriations bill would have underfunded the WIC Program in 2024 and affected five million women and children, gutted $3 billion in investments for affordable energy in rural communities, and reduced funding for expanded broadband internet services by $88 million.

John, this attempt by Republicans to shortchange America’s rural and underserved communities — restricting their ability to access water and waste systems, nutritious food, and affordable electricity — is unacceptable.

Congressman Bishop knows that the American people deserve better, and he needs your help as he continues fighting for rural communities and working families. Before his end-of-month fundraising deadline tomorrow night, make a contribution to stand with Congressman Bishop as he works to protect our communities from Republicans.
