Hi John – it’s Khalif here, popping in with my first-ever financial update as NPP’s Director with the leadership of our CEO, Kadida Kenner.
I understand that November’s election may seem far away, but I’m here to tell you it will be here before we know it. There is a lot on the line this fall, including voting rights, abortion access, and LGBTQ+ rights. That’s why, in order to safeguard our fundamental liberties, we need to start building long-term success.
We have less than 48 hours to raise $1,825 in order to hit our crucial end-of-month goal. Good weather is underway, Pennsylvanians are out and about, and there is no better time than NOW to start registering and engaging voters for November's critical election. The New Pennsylvania Project was founded in May 2021 to expand Pennsylvania’s electorate, so it reflects the Commonwealth’s demographically changing population. In the next four years, NPP will engage and empower young residents and those living in underrepresented immigrant communities and communities of color. We register communities to vote, provide civic education about the issues that matter in their neighborhoods, and mobilize Pennsylvanians to vote in every election.
