John, last Thursday we welcomed the historic new White House Strategy to Counter Antisemitism, a plan ADL has been involved in throughout its development. This Thursday at 3:30 pm ET / 12:30 pm PT, we are honored to invite you to join Ambassador Deborah Lipstadt, the U.S. Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Antisemitism, for a timely
Fighting Hate from Home conversation about this pivotal new step. (This was rescheduled from 5/31; if you already registered, there’s no need to do so again.)
ADL CEO Jonathan Greenblatt will host the Special Envoy to give you insights into the new national strategy, what’s included in it, and the impact the plan will have in the coming years.
Ambassador Lipstadt will also talk about the challenges that were overcome in bringing this initiative to life and discuss key provisions such as the embrace of the IHRA definition of antisemitism, ways to improve the security of the Jewish community, promoting Holocaust and antisemitism education and fighting hate online.
Jonathan will discuss the actions ADL will take to support this whole-of-government and whole-of-society approach to fighting antisemitism.
We want you to be part of the conversation with the Special Envoy, so please bring your questions for the Q&A segment.

WEBINAR: “The White House and ADL Take You Inside the New Antisemitism Strategy”
Thursday, June 1
3:30 pm ET / 2:30 pm CT / 1:30 pm MT / 12:30 pm PT
Deborah E. Lipstadt
As the Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Antisemitism, with the rank of Ambassador, she leads efforts to advance U.S. foreign policy to counter antisemitism throughout the world.
Special Envoy Lipstadt has a storied career as a historian, academic and author and was famously sued for libel by David Irving, one of the world’s leading Holocaust deniers. The case resulted in Irving being declared by the court to be “a right wing polemicist” who engages in antisemitism, racism and misogyny. That trial was depicted in the 2016 film Denial, which was based on her book History on Trial: My Day in Court with a Holocaust Denier.

P.S. You can read more about the first-ever U.S. National Strategy to Counter Antisemitism, a plan to comprehensively address hate and antisemitism on campus, online and from extremists on both the far right and the far left. Also, you can review
ADL’s analysis of the policy recommendations we provided to the White House, of which more than 90 percent were included in the final strategy.
