Friend — In a matter of days, the Supreme Court is set to rule on
two cases that could have major implications for American democracy and
the future of elections.

Allen v. Milligan challenges Alabama's congressional map for racial
gerrymandering and for diluting Black Alabamans' voting power.

Moore v. Harper could give state legislators near-total power over federal
elections without oversight from the state courts and other election
officials — putting at risk our ability to elect the government of our
choice, one that will protect our jobs, our health, and our communities.

These cases come after the Court gutted the Voting Rights Act in 2013,
which opened the door for far-right legislators and election officials to
push an onslaught of voter suppression policies and new barriers to the
ballot box. They weakened the Voting Rights Act again in 2021.

We can’t let these far-right justices have the final word.

As our opponents continue to attack our rights and attempt to weaken our
democracy, we're doing everything we can to fight back. When we fight — by
pushing for fair-minded judges, a binding code of ethics for Supreme Court
justices, and an end to the GOP’s obstruction — we win. Thanks to our
movement, 129 of President Biden’s nominees have been confirmed to
lifelong positions in the federal judiciary so far.
