JOhn, this year began with Republicans struggling for days to elect a Speaker because Kevin McCarthy wasn't extreme enough for the most far-right MAGA members.

Since then, the House GOP has doubled down on showing just how out of touch they are with the American people. They voted to restrict reproductive rights, attack trans kids, and roll back environmental and drug pricing reforms. They've tried to force harmful cuts to programs that working families rely on. And they've continued to circle their wagons around Donald Trump — who's never stopped spreading dangerous misinformation and attacking our democratic process.

I've had enough, and I'm pretty sure the American people have as well. But if we want to flip the House back and restore responsible leadership to Congress, we have to prevent the GOP from making further gains in districts like mine.

Embracing Trumpism and going far right seems to be the GOP's main strategy for 2024, but it's a strategy that's been shown to boost their turnout.
