John,
A surprise resignation has left an open U.S. House seat in Rhode Island’s 1st Congressional District — and today, we’re excited to announce that we’ve endorsed Aaron Regunberg to fill this seat.
As a member of Rhode Island’s General Assembly, Aaron worked hand-in-hand with WFP, building coalitions that passed laws to give working people paid sick days and higher wages, as well as to reform prisons, expand harm reduction strategies, increase access to renewable energy, and more.
And we know that once we get Aaron to Congress, he’ll continue being a strong WFP ally as he fights for big investments in healthcare, reproductive justice, immigrants rights, and LGBTQ+ rights. He’ll always be a fierce voice for policies that serve our communities, not wealthy donors.
Aaron has a path to victory, John, but he’s running in a crowded Democratic primary against well-funded opponents — and he needs your support to help him stand out as the only candidate Rhode Islanders can trust to stand with working people.
Can you split a $10 contribution right now between Aaron Regunberg’s campaign and the Working Families Party to fuel our organizing? With your help, we can help send one more WFP champion to Washington and bolster our ranks to fight against Republicans' attacks on working families and deliver on people's material needs.

With House Republicans pushing their deeply unpopular agenda and threatening to force drastic cuts to federal programs and services our communities rely on — we need more leaders like Aaron who have proven they have the energy, conviction, and the organizing chops to mobilize people inside and outside of Congress against extremist attacks and build winning coalitions to deliver on working people’s needs.
In Rhode Island’s General Assembly, Aaron partnered with WFP to lead the fight to win paid sick days for over 100,000 Rhode Islanders and helped increase the tipped minimum wage in Rhode Island for the first time in 20 years.
He was also the lead sponsor of Medicare for All in Rhode Island — and with a legislative track record like this, we know we can count on Aaron to lead the charge in Congress for policies that lift up working people.
Aaron has refused to accept corporate donations, but we know that corporate money will flow to his opponents and to anyone across the country who threatens their power in Congress.
With your support, however, we can fuel the organizing we'll need to fight against whatever is thrown our way. If you’re all in like we are for Aaron, split a contribution today between his campaign and WFP. Together, we’ll send a strong message that the people are ready to expand progressive power in Congress.
