Personal possession & cultivation will be legal August 1!

Chip in to Legalize America

John,

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz today signed legislation legalizing the use, sale, and home-cultivation of cannabis by adults.

This victory is especially satisfying for us. The passage of this legislation is the result of years of grassroots activism by consumers and stakeholders, including Minnesota NORML and its founder – who himself was once a victim of the state’s prohibitionist-leaning policies.

Those destructive policies come to an end on August 1, when adults will be legally permitted to possess personal use quantities of cannabis and to grow it in their homes. On that date, officials will also begin the process of righting past wrongs by expunging the records of those Minnesotans with marijuana-related convictions on their records.

Minnesotans are on the cusp on cannabis freedom. They are hardly alone. Twenty-three states and the District of Columbia have now repealed marijuana prohibition and ushered in an era of cannabis legalization. Who will be next?

That’s up to you.

NORML relies on you, our grassroots supporters, to advance cannabis policy reform. We don’t have the backing of commercial or corporate interests, but we have the support of something much bigger: you, the cannabis consumer.

Please donate today so that we can continue sowing the seeds of cannabis freedom.

Together, we will legalize America!
