Hi, John -- it's Laphonza. I hope you enjoyed your long weekend.

As you know, the EMILYs List team took a break, too. I learned a lot in my years of organizing, and one big lesson is that rest and restoration are key to any movement that's trying to change the world.

We need to take breaks so that when we come back to our work, we're ready for anything. And we already know so much of what we're up against, John. Our End-of-Month deadline is now tomorrow night, and it's time to get back to work. Can you donate to support Democratic pro-choice women and reproductive rights today?

The stakes are high. As I said, we know what we're up against. Nearly half of the states in the U.S. have abortion bans on the books, and a pending court case could ban medication abortion nationwide. Republicans are raising money and passing laws with two ultimate goals in mind: win more seats and pass a national abortion ban.

I don't think I have to tell you that electing fierce Democratic pro-choice women is the answer to stopping Republicans on both fronts, which is why we've set an ambitious $175,000 End-of-Month fundraising goal to help them win. It's time to pick up the pace after our time off, and cross this crucial finish line.

Can I count on you to rush a donation before our deadline tomorrow at midnight?
