We’ve seen what happens when we ignore the warning signs and fail to act on preventing gun violence.
Rather than being a part of the solution, our former Republican Congressman and my current opponent, Scott Taylor, is in lockstep with Donald Trump. Taylor is speaking out against our Democratic state legislature’s seven new common sense gun reform bills.
But together, we can show our state leaders that Virginians still want gun policies that make our communities safer. I need 3,500 people to become citizen endorsers of Virginia Democrats’ gun safety bills by midnight tonight. Will you add your name?
Polls show that 86% of Virginians support common sense gun reform and that gun safety was one of the top issues for Virginia voters in 2019.
That’s why our new Democratic state legislature took legislative action to make our communities safer by passing seven new common sense gun reform bills.
But despite an overwhelming majority of Virginians supporting these efforts, Scott Taylor attacked Virginia Democrats for introducing these common sense bills and spoke at a rally in support of local governments pledging not to enforce new gun laws.
We can’t afford to have a leader like Scott Taylor who will put party-line priorities over the concerns of Virginia voters.
