We are consumed with anger and mistrust. In private, we groan under the lash of anxiety and depression. The future fills us with dread. The web has been implicated in the rise of these maladies. Something about digital life leaves us, especially younger people, wounded and sick at heart. But we can overcome the digital life. A first step involves having the courage to leave the herd and seize back control of our lives.
