Friend, a lot of folks told me not to run against Ted Cruz.

They said a Democrat can't win a statewide election in Texas and that I
should stick with my "safe" seat in the House after winning with 66% of
the vote last year. But I'm not one to play it safe when our rights and

Already, the Cook Political Report upgraded our chances of winning, and
both Roll Call AND Inside Elections officially moved Texas from "Solid

says this could be one of the most expensive races in the country, and
with Senate control hanging in the balance, national Republicans are
pouring money into Cruz's war chest.
