I’m reaching out in honor of Memorial Day, a time when we come together as a nation to remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country.

On this Memorial Day, let us pause to reflect on the impact these heroes have had on our nation and our lives, and let us lift up in prayer their families who have gone through an immeasurable loss.

In their honor, we must strive to live up to the ideals they fought for: Freedom, equality, and justice. I promise you that today, and every day, I am fighting for these ideals in Washington.
