Earlier this month, more than 4,000 Canadians participated in our 2023 Liberal National Convention to hear from keynote speakers, participate in important campaign trainings, and have policy discussions to keep Canada moving forward.
Here are some highlights from LIB2023:
Justin Trudeau took the stage on Thursday night to talk about how our Liberal team is moving forward on Canadians’ priorities. With Pierre Poilievre and his Conservative Party pushing reckless policies that would take us backward, Justin Trudeau made it clear that we had to work even harder to keep building a better future for Canadians.
Hillary Rodham Clinton joined Chrystia Freeland for a keynote conversation on the importance of women’s participation in the economy, how $10-a-day child care is providing support to families, and the dangers of right-wing ideologies undermining our democratic institutions.
In his keynote conversation with François-Philippe Champagne, Jean Chrétien spoke on how Canada leads the world with our freedom and tolerance, and how we are continuing to move forward under a progressive, Liberal government.
The Team Trudeau hub held hands-on training sessions for attendees including field and voter contact, fundraising, volunteer management, and more.
Members of our Liberal team also took the stage to speak about how we’re leading on climate action for clean air and a strong economy, fighting racism and hate, and building a Canada for everyone, investing in a stronger middle class, and so much more!
We have more work to do together as we continue to deliver on Canadians’ top priorities including making life more affordable, strengthening our public health care system, accelerating the fight against climate change, building safer communities, and growing an economy that works for all Canadians – and we can’t slow down now.
