John,
Today, this solemn day, we honor those who not only loved their country, but laid down their lives for it. While we can never truly thank them for what they did, we must do all we can to ensure that what they died for remains.
As President Reagan once said, “Our first obligation to them and ourselves is plain enough: the United States and the freedom for which it stands, the freedom for which they died, must endure and prosper. Their lives remind us that freedom is not bought cheaply. It has a cost; it imposes a burden.” |
So please join us today in praying for the fallen, their families, their loved ones, and for our great country. And let us never forget their sacrifice.
