Hi there,

I hope you and your family are not only enjoying this Memorial Day long weekend, but also pausing to remember and honor the fallen service members who have made the ultimate sacrifice to protect our freedom.

My father is a veteran, and this day means the world to me because how we show our gratitude to our service members – and their families – matters.

As the daughter of an Air Force psychiatrist, I’ve seen just how much our veterans and military families struggle when they don’t have the proper support – and how well they thrive when they do.

May is also Mental Health Awareness Month, and we must work together to destigmatize mental health care, especially for our service members and veterans.

Holistic care for our military members includes increased mental health awareness, support, and creating a strong infrastructure to take care of the brave men and women who protect our country.

Today, like I do every year, I restate my promise to work on behalf of service members, veterans, and their families to ensure we fulfill our promise to them as a country and provide them with the care they deserve.

Join me in remembering those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country and the families they left behind.

With love,

Deborah
