Memorial Day is dedicated to the daughters and sons America sent off to war who never came home. For every family with an empty chair at the dinner table, it is not a happy day. But it is an important one.

From all of us here at Team Kelly, we hope you’re able to spend some quality time with your friends and family this Memorial Day, and that you take a moment to reflect and remember the real meaning of this day.

Here in Arizona, many of us think of the Sailors and Marines lost aboard the USS Arizona on December 7, 1941 at Pearl Harbor. If you have time, watch this video made by the American Veterans Center with Ken Potts, a Veteran from the Second World War and survivor from the USS Arizona.

Sadly, Ken passed away in April of 2023, but as you’ll see in the video he never forgot the men lost aboard the USS Arizona.
