Hello,

Today, we honor the sacrifice of fallen heroes in the defense of our nation.

For the ideals of freedom, justice, equality, and democracy, they pledged and gave their all.

When a servicemember makes this ultimate sacrifice, it is difficult to comprehend the loss their families, friends, and loved ones bear. We are, of course, grateful, but gratitude is simply not enough.

What we can do — what I ask you to do this Memorial Day — is to remember and to do all we can for their families and the veterans who made it home.
