The House GOP budget could kick 400,000 young kids out of care programs and take food aid from nearly 2 million women and children. New York City’s mayor refuses to pay pre-K providers. Stats show one in twenty-five kindergarteners won’t make it to age 40 due to gun violence… It’s clear the broken promises are for one reason:

Our country’s 73 million children don’t have political power, so they’re too often pushed aside when making policy decisions.

As a pediatrician who has seen too many kids in the hospital with firearm injuries or who can’t afford medications, even with insurance, the inaction in Congress on issues that impact our kids’ lives is unacceptable.
