It’s pretty simple: the highest court in the land shouldn't have the lowest ethical standards.

Senator Whitehouse is working hard to clean up the mess at the Supreme Court and require the Justices to follow a code of ethics, disclose more to the American people, and be held accountable when they break the rules — just like every other federal judge.

Progress on making the Supreme Court work better for the American people won’t be possible if we lose the Senate majority to Republicans next year. Creating basic guardrails to prevent corruption — like those the legislative and executive branches have had for a long time — shouldn’t be a partisan issue, and yet the GOP continues to be overwhelmingly hostile toward the idea.
