John, do you have a moment? I wanted to take a second to reach out and explain why you may be hearing from my team more than usual this week.

At the end of this month, our team will face yet another critical deadline: Our May end-of-month fundraising deadline. And with only three days to go, we’re still running about $6,000 short of where we absolutely have to be.

I’ll explain more in a moment, but first: Is there any amount you’d be willing to chip in to our campaign before Wednesday night? Every dollar we raise now allows us to reach that one extra person, knock that one extra door, and turn out that one extra vote that will make the ultimate difference next November.

I know I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again. The other side may have millions in dark money and may not have to worry about end-of-month deadlines, but we have something they don’t: The grassroots power of folks like you who believe Northeast Ohio is worth fighting for.

And if we all stick together and pitch in a little bit here and there, we’ll have what it takes to bring home another win for the Birthplace of Champions.

So now, ahead of our critical end-of-month deadline, I need to know if I can count on this grassroots team to come together when it matters the most. Because in a race as competitive as ours, we can only win this if we stick together.
