On Monday, May 22, more than 10,000 Torontonians attended UJA Federation of Greater Toronto’s annual Walk with Israel <[link removed]>, the largest single-day Israel solidarity walk in the Jewish world.

The day capped off at UJA's Sherman Campus with an Israeli-themed beach party featuring music, dancing, entertainment, and delicious food for the whole family.

As part of UJA’s Walk with Israel CIJA hosted our ‘Meet Your Next Mayor’ event, giving community members an opportunity to show their pride in our local community, their support for Israel, and their interest in engaging with mayoral candidates.

Leading candidates Ana Bailao, Brad Bradford, Anthony Furey, Mitzie Hunter, Josh Matlow, and Mark Saunders discussed issues important to Jewish community members including antisemitism, housing affordability, and food insecurity. The next stage of the campaign will involve putting more top-of-mind questions to candidates and encouraging everyone to ensure their voice is heard on election day by casting their vote.
