Unlike many Special Olympics athletes, Trent Hampton first joined our movement in a different capacity––as one of our amazing volunteers.
Trent loves to support other brave athletes with intellectual disabilities (ID) and believes sports are about friendship, teamwork, and helping others succeed. Today, he’s not only an athlete leader, mentor, and coach, but an exceptional runner and triathlete himself––Trent just ran the 127th Boston Marathon this April in under 3 hours and 44 minutes!! 🏅🏅🏅
Trent’s story and impact for others are only possible because of our family of supporters. Right now, our founding partner, the Coca-Cola Company, is MATCHING donations so we can hit our $25,000 Summer to Shine goal for athletes with ID. Are you in?
Special Olympics athletes in your state and around the world are getting ready for a summer to remember! Local competitions and events, life-changing athletic training and conditioning, and mountains of FUN are all waiting for these enthusiastic athletes. (That includes Trent, who will be making his way to Berlin next month for the Special Olympics World Games as an officiator!)
But here’s the thing: For every person with ID we support, there are still 13 people with ID waiting to get in the game this summer. We can ONLY get more athletes in the game with your help: Give before Wednesday’s midnight deadline to help reach our $25,000 Summer to Shine goal, and the Coca-Cola Company will generously match your donation 2X:
☀️Let’s help more awesome athletes SHINE! ☀️
