Friend, I wanted to make sure you saw this update:
Judge Hanen, an anti-immigrant judge in Texas who has ruled against DACA before, just scheduled a hearing for June 1st — meaning a decision could be coming soon in the case that could determine DACA’s fate.
Regardless of the outcome of this case, it’s never been more clear that DACA recipients and all undocumented people need more than just temporary protections.
We’re ramping up our fight for permanent protections before it’s too late. Chip in $7 or any amount to join our fight to secure protections for DACA recipients and immigrant communities.

Judge Andrew Hanen is no stranger to the DACA program, team.
In 2021, he ruled against DACA which shut down the program for new applicants. 2 years later, the program still isn’t accepting new applications because of his order. The good news is that current DACA recipients are still protected and will be able to continue renewing for now.
But with everyone from federal judges to far-right governors on a mission to shut down the program for good, we don’t know how much longer that will be true.
This shows just how important our fight for permanent protections is. DACA was not and will never be more than a temporary solution. We were here long before DACA, and we are here to stay no matter what happens.
In the weeks and months ahead, we’ll continue to put pressure on members of Congress and the Biden administration who promised to protect our communities. Anything less could have devastating consequences for undocumented communities.
Before it’s too late, will you add a donation to fuel our fight for permanent protections? DACA recipients and all undocumented people are counting on your support.
