Who is a Patriot?
Last fall, Republicans learned a hard lesson that houses divided inevitably fall, when a third-party candidate backed by some in our own party handed the governor a second term with less than a majority of the vote.
A second term with a Democrat governor means there is a much higher threshold to legislative success.
Thankfully, we were able to override the governor’s veto on the Fairness in Women’s Sports Act, the Women’s Bill of Rights, a ban on human smuggling to combat illegal immigration, the Born Alive Protection Act, the Women’s Right to Know Act, and funding for pregnancy resource centers.
However, we fell just a few votes shy of overriding her veto and enacting legislation that would have provided historic tax relief to all Kansans, enhanced your health freedom, and prevented minors from being mutilated by undergoing experimental, life-altering surgeries. With a Republican governor, these measures – and many others - would now be the law of the land.
I firmly believe that when we are unified and focused on promoting the principles found within our platform, Kansans will decisively side with Republicans. Florida and Iowa are two examples of states that are now seeing the fruits of that unity and focus.
To achieve victory, we need to stop creating factions within our party and work instead to come together around our common principles. For example, declaring some as “patriots” or “patriot conservatives” implies that other conservatives are not patriots. That naturally leads some to sit on the sidelines when we need everyone on the field.
Rather than using the term as a label to sew division, let’s remember what it truly means to be a patriot.
The pro-life activist who stands in front of an abortion clinic and convinces a young mother to choose life …is a patriot.
The homeschool mom who starts her own small business so she can both earn a living and educate her children according to her faith and values…is a patriot.
The public school teacher who quietly works behind the scenes to resist a radical ideology from indoctrinating her students…is a patriot.
The college swimmer who travels throughout the country to protect and defend the incredible “Gaines” we have made for women…is a patriot.
The state legislator who stands firm in defense of what is right - despite receiving vile hatred from his own party - may not even be a Republican…but he is definitely a patriot.
The state legislator who, even after sustaining a horrific injury, comes to Topeka and points to the sky to cast the decisive vote to ensure the Born Alive Protection Act becomes law…is a patriot.
The truth is, all who love, support, and defend this great country and state are patriots, and all who support the Republican platform are patriots.
As we head into this year’s local elections and 2024, I encourage my fellow Republicans to emulate the spirit and leadership found in these everyday heroes. If we do so, I am confident that victories will soon follow - both at the ballot box and in the halls of every level of government.
It is an honor to serve the people of Kansas. God bless you and God bless the great state of Kansas.

The KSGOP has been busy working with Republican County Party officials across Kansas, recruiting candidates for local school governing boards and city council seats.
We have many candidates from across Kansas already recruited and signed up to run for local office.

A More Expensive Memorial Day Thanks To Biden
Heading into Memorial Day weekend, Americans will be forced to spend significantly more on their barbeques, shopping, and travel plans thanks to Bidenflation.
What you need to know
Memorial Day cookouts will cost more under Biden, with hot dogs up 2%, rolls up 13%, condiments up 13%, and beer up 6%.
For dessert, prices are up 14% for pies, 13% for ice cream, and 16% for cookies.
Holiday weekend travel will also squeeze American wallets, with airfares nearly 10% higher than pre-pandemic prices and hotels up 3.5% from last year and 15% since 2019.

It's not just airfare, as U.S. average gas prices currently sit at $3.57 per gallon which is more than $1.00 higher than when Biden became president.
80% of Americans say they are changing their summer travel plans because of Bidenflation.
The bottom line:
Joe Biden and Democrats' wasteful spending caused the crushing Bidenflation facing Americans, and all they want to do is continue to spend, spend, and spend. Republicans are standing up or Americans by trying to curb spending and put more money back in our pockets.
Various reports have shown that Biden has met with Hunter's associates from all over the world, including China, Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, and Mexico.
Now the question is: What was the Biden family selling?
Republicans are following through on their promise to the American people of holding Biden, his family, and his administration accountable for their actions.

Corrupt Hunter Biden
Hunter Biden is perhaps the largest benefactor of Joe Biden’s influence, leveraging his father’s name and influence for profit.
What you need to know:
Recently, the House Oversight and Accountability Committee uncovered even more evidence detailing the Biden family's influence peddling and business schemes. This investigation found:
A network of more than 20 companies formed by the Biden family and associates most of which were formed when Biden was vice president.
At least $10 million from foreign companies going to the Biden family, their business associates, and their companies.
There is currently an ongoing federal investigation into Hunter's money laundering and foreign business relationships.
However, an IRS whistleblower has now come forward and says that they have information that suggests the Biden administration is improperly handling the criminal investigation.
The whistleblower says that the federal investigation into Hunter Biden has been marred by "special treatment" and "political considerations."
This would be a direct violation of Biden's promise to not interfere.
Joe Biden denies that he has ever talked about business with his family, a complete and total lie.
Joe Biden personally met with at least 14 of Hunter's business associates over 16 occasions between 2010 and 2018.
Hunter's business associates visited the White House more than 80 times while Biden was vice president.

Presidential Primary Field Grows, 2024 Heats Up | |

As the 2024 Presidential Primary Election draws closer, the number of official and rumored candidates rapidly increases. This is indeed good news.
More candidates in the Republican Presidential Primary makes for better ideas, refined messaging, and a hardened, sharpened, and toughened eventual nominee (and likely several future Presidential Cabinet Members), so they are ready for the general election and to serve America.
This cycle is shaping up to look a lot like the 2016 Republican Presidential Primary, and it will be a ton of fun as a spectator to watch as we get closer to the Kansas Republican Presidential Preference Primary on March 19, 2024.

I expect many, if not all, of the Republican candidates running for President to make their way through our great state, as Kansas is now a winner-take-all Republican state. This significant change makes Kansas a much more exciting destination for Presidential hopefuls.
Joe Biden & Co. are about to get beat, and then the new Republican President, whoever it may be, will begin leading our great nation back out of the disaster the Democrats have created for America.

Our internal bickering and ax-grinding must stop, and regardless of who may be leading or eventually winning the Republican nomination, we ALL must get behind the Republican nominee. America and freedom are at stake, and a divided Republican Party will bring us... Joe Biden, Laura Kelly, and Sharice Davids.
I implore all of us to get on the same page and move this critical business forward.
