Lorinser to pen letter of opposition to Bergman's approval undermining CWA

Take a stand and add your name Bob Lorinser's letter. Let your voice be heard and make a difference in protecting our environment.

Rep. Jack Bergman recently applauded a Supreme Court decision that severely limits the protection of our wetlands. All those who care about clean water, water quality, pollution, and flood control are encouraged to add your name by contributing as low as $1 or write, call, text, or email our Representative immediately and tell him how wrong he is. The Clean Water Act has been safeguarding our wetlands since 1977, during both Republican and Democratic presidential administrations. By a 5-4 decision, SCOTUS reversed this decision. Even conservative Justice Brett Kavanaugh joined the dissent stating "significant repercussions for water quality and flood control throughout the United States" would result from this decision. Voice your opposition first, and a final copy of Lorinser's letter will be e-mailed to you in 5 days for approval.

Bergman's Misleading Statement

Applauds Supreme Court WOTUS Ruling Washington - This week, the U.S. Supreme Court unanimously ruled against President Biden’s Waters of the United States (WOTUS) rule finding the EPA overstepped its authority. In March, Rep. Bergman voted in favor of H.J. Res. 27, a resolution to overturn this regulation. Following the Supreme Court’s decision, Rep. Jack Bergman issued the following statement: "Conserving our water is not a partisan issue and can be accomplished without personal property rights infringement – I will continue working to protect both. This victory through the unanimous Sackett v. EPA Supreme Court ruling is critical to ensuring common sense and states' rights are preserved. I am optimistic that this decision will finally end the nearly decade-long fight against the extreme and overbearing WOTUS rule and give much-needed clarity to American farmers and landowners. This ruling is a testament to the power of standing up for our rights and freedoms in the face of power-grabbing bureaucrats."
