John, if you imagine a government without the Senate
filibuster, a different vision of the country begins to take shape.

A government where Mitch McConnell can’t unilaterally block a vote on
abortion rights, gun safety, the minimum wage, voting rights, climate, or
universal health care.

Where legislation doesn’t fail because it only won 59 votes out of 100.
(How absurd is that?)

Where voters pick their representatives, not the other way around.

Where partisan gerrymandering no longer hands Kevin McCarthy the House
majority, and nonpartisan commissions draw fair maps for every district
like we do in California.

Where Super PACs cannot spend unlimited amounts of money, where
corporations cannot make political contributions, and where big money
donors can’t hide in the dark. (To be honest, we probably wouldn’t have to
send as many emails to compete).

Added together, a very different picture begins to take shape.

Of a country that no longer suffers daily from mass shootings.

A country where you can access an abortion no matter which state you live
in.

A country where you can afford to go to college without taking on massive
debt.

A country with enough affordable housing, clean energy, clean air, and
clean water.

Adam has been on the frontlines of the fight for our democracy. And to fix
