believe the NRA should lose its tax-exempt status.

To date, the
NRA has spent nearly a quarter BILLION dollars killing any and all
legislation related to background checks, red flag laws, closing gun sale
loopholes, and assault weapons bans. It’s one of the largest political
organizations in the history of the world.
Last year $0 of its contributions went to Democrats. According to court
documents, the NRA instead operates as a “personal piggy bank” for their
executive leaders and as a slush fund for Republican candidates to rig
tight races in their favor.
And this is after “The [NRA] board president admitting to shredding and
burning documents after being “told they could be subpoenaed and used.”
And then the CFO pleaded the Fifth Amendment so he couldn’t incriminate
himself for breaking the law.
The NRA accepts tens of millions in tax-exempt donations every few months
because it argues it is legally a “social welfare” organization that
focuses on “education” and “training.” A slush fund for millionaire
executives and Republicans trying to finance their re-election campaigns
does not deserve to be a tax-exempt organization.
