In the News

I want to make sure you don't miss a minute of what I’m doing to fight for Arizonans each and every day. Check out my latest interviews below.

The Seth Leibsohn Show

I joined The Seth Leibsohn Show to discuss how we are living in crazy times! Democrats can’t even define what a woman is. That is why I introduced the Women’s Bill of Rights to define “woman” in federal law and protect women’s rights from the left’s radical agenda! Listen to my interview below:

Lesko Legislation to Save Gas Stoves Passes House Energy and Commerce Committee

My Save Our Gas Stoves Act to block the U.S. Department of Energy from implementing its proposed efficiency standard for gas cooking products passed out of the House Energy and Commerce Committee with bipartisan support. 100 percent of the currently available free-standing gas stoves and 96 percent of gas cooktops will not meet the new standards proposed by the Biden Administration’s Department of Energy. This is unacceptable. I am grateful for my colleagues’ support on this important legislation to block the Department of Energy’s extreme attack on consumer choice, and I expect the bill to come up for a vote on the Floor of the U.S. House of Representatives soon.

Lesko; Schneider Introduce Legislation to Simplify Tax Deadlines

introduced the bipartisan Tax Deadline Simplification Act with Congressman Brad Schneider (D-IL-10) to change the estimated tax payment deadlines to a uniform, quarterly schedule. The IRS has set tax payment deadlines at uneven intervals, which can cause confusion for our nation’s hardworking taxpayers. I was pleased to introduce this common-sense legislation to change these deadlines to a uniform schedule and make it easier for taxpayers to save appropriately and comply with due dates.

Lesko's CABLE Expansion Act Passes the Energy and Commerce Committee

I was honored that my legislation, the CABLE Expansion Act, was included in Congressman Buddy Carter’s (R-GA) American Broadband Deployment Act, which PASSED the Energy and Commerce Committee! My legislation will streamline the permitting process and expand broadband access for Americans. Watch my remarks:

Lesko Stands Up for HALT Fentanyl Act

I spoke on the Floor of the U.S. House of Representatives to discuss how we are facing a tragic fentanyl crisis in our nation. In Maricopa County, AZ, 60% of drug deaths involve fentanyl and fentanyl analogues. Thankfully, House Republicans are stepping up with the HALT Fentanyl Act to stop this crisis and save lives.

Lesko Investigates Chinese Companies Operating in the United States

In the House Energy and Commerce Committee's Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations, I discussed how Democrats' so-called Inflation Reduction Act allows Chinese companies operating in the United States to get U.S. taxpayer subsidies. This is wrong, and it is in the opposite direction of helping increase United States manufacturing and strengthening our supply chains. Watch my remarks:

GET THE FACTS ON THE DEBT CEILING:

President Joe Biden could lead us to default on America's national debt. For two years, Democrats increased the 10-year spending trajectory by $10 trillion, maxing out America's credit card. This includes their nearly $2 trillion so-called "American Rescue Plan," which led to the highest spike in consumer prices in 40 years. For months now, Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) has asked President Biden to come to the negotiating table, yet President Biden failed to meet him. Only recently did the president sit down with House Leadership to discuss his debt crisis. To date, House Republicans are the only ones who have passed legislation to offer a real solution. We passed the Limit, Save, Grow Act in the U.S. House of Representatives, which would responsibly raise the debt ceiling, curb Washington, D.C.'s reckless spending spree, and save American taxpayers $4.8 trillion. This is common sense. We have done our job. Sadly, President Biden and Senate Democrats have waited until the 11th hour to do their part. For the sake of our economic future, the Biden Administration must get serious. Americans are watching.
