Red Flag Warning Issued for this Afternoon.

Fire Weather Watch Issued for Tomorrow.

The National Weather Service as issued a Red Flag Warning for the northwest and several counties in west and central Minnesota effective Saturday, May 27 beginning immediately until 9 p.m. due to extreme fire danger.

Affected counties include?Becker, Beltrami, Cass, Chippewa, Clay, Clearwater, Douglas, Grant, Hubbard, Itasca, Kittson, Koochiching, Lac Qui Parle, Lake of the Woods, Mahnomen, Marshall, Norman, Otter Tail, Pennington, Polk, Pope, Red Lake, Roseau, Stevens, Swift, Todd, Wadena, Wilkin, and Yellow Medicine.

Outdoor burning is discouraged. Fire Weather Watches are evolving situations and could quickly progress to Red Flag conditions. Visit the National Weather Service [ [link removed] ], for updates.
