I hope you’re enjoying the start of the long holiday weekend. There’s been a lot going on in both CA-49 and the halls of Congress. We’ve picked out what we think are some of the most important updates for our supporters and constituents.

Leading the charge on permitting reform

Mike & Rep. Sean Casten (D-IL) introduced legislation to accelerate the permitting of clean energy projects. The Clean Electricity and Transmission Acceleration Act would help kickstart the clean energy transition.

Improving our coastal railroads

Amit Bose, the head of the Federal Railroad Administration, joined Mike on a tour of our local coastal rail line. From the Del Mar Bluffs to San Clemente, Mike made the case for using federal dollars to repair and relocate the tracks.
