I hate to bother you over Memorial Day weekend, but I wanted to reach out personally to let you know why you may be receiving more emails than usual over the next few days.
This Wednesday at midnight is our May end-of-month deadline, and according to my finance team, we’re still running about $6,500 behind our goal. I’ll explain more in a moment, but first:
Since we don’t take corporate PAC money, this grassroots team is the heart and soul of our campaign operation. That’s why I have to ask: Can I count on you to pitch in a few dollars to help get our May fundraising back on track?
I know Election Day may seem far off, but the truth is, Washington Republicans have been working overtime this month to try to defeat us.
Just this month, the NRCC launched another misleading attack ad campaign against us, intended to deceive voters and lie about my record of delivering for our district. Plain and simple: if we don’t fight back, we’ll be giving the Republican the upper hand here in Southwest Ohio.
That’s why, over the next month, we have to ramp up our rapid response efforts, combat malicious misinformation, and broadcast our actual message – the message of change that fueled our historic victory last November – throughout OH-01. And it’s our May fundraising that will allow us to do just that.
