John, Ron DeSantis has officially launched his bid for the Presidency. And while his announcement itself was off to a rocky start, do not be deceived into a false sense of security. A flurry of legislation has made news in the last few months as Ron DeSantis has pushed Florida to a semi-fascist state with his war on "woke ideology." 


Ron DeSantis has utilized his executive authority to remove school board members, and Democratic prosecutors, and even threatened the stability of Orlando's tourism industry with attempts to intimidate the executives over Disney World.  

This is all on the heels of his so-called embrace of "freedom" in Florida. That freedom, ironically, does not include the option to read certain books or take classes like AP African American History in schools that the state has determined as "woke." 

If Ron DeSantis is the GOP nominee for President in 2024, this is what we are facing. These are the kinds of laws and restrictions on freedom and the first amendment that we may see come to fruition nationally. DeSantis has a particular advantage in organizing, as he has deep-pocketed interests at his disposal for ensuring a very successful campaign. DeSantis is capable of reaching far and wide and tapping into a separate base that prefers Trumpian ideology without the sideshow acts. 

We have a thin majority in the Senate, and we have the White House, but we can't keep it without defending it all...can you chip in and help us get a head start on defending the Presidency?
