John, the campaign trail brings with it a lot of stress. But it's also provided me with many opportunities to spend time with Papi – the most loyal and loving dog one could ask for!
As you might've noticed, Papi's a big fan of the walks we get to take when meeting voters. I'm hoping to take many more walks before the primary on June 20.
My field team is going to be out walking too, John, and they will need our full resources in order to reach their voter contact benchmarks. That's why it's absolutely critical that we meet our end-of-month fundraising goal (our last one before the primary).
Spring is in full force here in Virginia and I’m LOVING the extra walks my mom is taking me on. I thought it was so my mom and I could smell the flowers and feel the sun on our backs. But apparently it’s so we can knock on more doors? Who knows!
What I do know is just how hard my mom has been working these last few months. Right now, she’s busy with her campaign team doing something called “running the numbers.” They say they have a huge deadline in 5 days, but are short $7,916 from their goal.
I know my mom is the right human for the job in our State Senate. She does so much to make me happy already, John, but think of what she can do for everyone else! She’ll expand access to health care, ensure our communities are safe, and stand up to those who don’t represent what’s best for the people of Virginia.
Now I can’t vote myself, but I can help my mom reach as many voters as possible by sending you this quick message. Hitting this fundraising goal means my mom can fully fund her field program. That means more doors knocked, more chats with our neighbors, and for me, more walks.
