Hi Friend --

Don’t miss this must-watch film! The powerful documentary “8:15 Hiroshima <[link removed]> | From Father to Daughter”, features the remarkable true story of Shinji Mikamo, a survivor of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima, and is streaming for free this weekend.

This gripping and innovative documentary uses audio and video recordings with Mr Mikamo, archival images of the aftermath of the first use of atomic weapons against humanity and re-enactments spoken in Hiroshima dialect to create a rare first person account of the bombing of Hiroshima. The film was recently screened in Hiroshima during the G7 summit, while these leaders met in the first city ever wiped out by a nuclear weapon but delivered very little <[link removed]> to meet the survivors’ demands for a nuclear-weapons-free world.

Stories like Mr Mikamo’s deserve to be shared more widely, and ICAN is proud to collaborate with San Diego-WISH and Dr Akiko Mikamo - author & producer of 8:15 Hiroshima, and daughter of Shinji Mikamo - to make this film available globally and for free in this unique streaming event. The stream will be up  until Monday 29th at 23:59PM EDT. We hope you will take the time to watch it, <[link removed]> and share it widely if you can.

Kind regards,
